Kate Ranft, PhD

Executive and Personal Coach

Since 2006, Kate Ranft has worked for The Joint Commission, the nation’s leading accreditor of health care organizations for safety and quality.  She is the HR Business Partner for Accreditation and Certification staff. She is trained in process improvement using Lean Six Sigma and change management. 

Kate is trained by the CoActive Training Institiute (CTI). She also teaches conflict resolution as a certified VitalSmarts trainer for Crucial Conversations and Crucial Accountability.

She holds a PhD in English from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee (UWM) and has taught composition, American literature, and creative writing at St. Norbert College, Concordia University River Forest, and UWM.  She has also taught advanced English as a Second Language students in the VITA program at Oakton Community College. 

And yes, she’s a birder.
